Google brought me to the back entrance... Visited for the first time on a Saturday afternoon with a group of nine, including three kids under 8. Waited inside the front door for about five minutes without being greeted or seated until someone in the group finally stopped a server and said we had nine and pointed to a large empty table that would fit us. We sat there and the server took our drink orders and then came back shortly with the drinks. We ordered food and waited about 70 minutes to get our food. When it came out, the person bringing it just announced "biscuit" and we explained that one person had a biscuit with their mealand someone else ordered ot as a side. She said she didn't take the orders so she doesn't know who it belongs to. It was a very chaotic way to bring out food, especially after we waited for so long.

The vibe and decorations of the place are great and the food is excellent but the communication of the staff is lacking. We asked for boxes and never received them. Another large group came in, which clearly had a local republican politician and we felt like they catered to that table and just ignored us.

Near the end (while still waiting for boxes), someone came by and asked for donations for their raffle. While we appreciated the cause, it didn't seem the appropriate time or place to ask. I recommend they bring up the cause when guests first arrive and instead of asking for money, just say that at any time you can accept donations. It would allow more time to contemplate and less pressure for the customer.

Overall, I would not return or recommend based on the very long wait time and the way the food was served.

It was close (to where we were when hungry); it was recommended (by several in social media); it did not disappoint (at.all)!

So glad we stopped as we’ve found a new option for b’fast in TC. The food was lighting fast, hot, and very tasty. The service was lightning fast, friendly, and attentive. The interior was cool (literally AND figuratively), clean, and provided multiple seating options. We’ll be back…

I’ve never had a bad meal here! I love trying new meals each time I go! This time the patty melt caught my eye and was it delicious! Service is always fantastic with smiling faces at every corner. The genuine care that this team puts in to their customers and the kids is amazing to see!

J&S makes the best omelets!! The owners Jason & Tiffany are wonderful people. I love the staff & atmosphere of this restaurant. It’s that hometown dinner feel that I love the most! The walls are painted with everything Traverse City! If you’re from out of town this is a must eat at!

As a customer that comes into J& S on S. Airport Rd. I have never ever had any issues with my food the service everybody everybody is very cheerful and greet all the customers with respect I’ve never had it trying to find a place to park. My food is always been hot. I’ve never had to send it back. The owners are fantastic. They care about their customers their workers. I have dined and I have gotten my food taken out and it’s always up when I’m there to get it.

We spent the day thrift shopping in TC and came across this little dinner for dinner before we left to go back home. I'm so glad we did. Food was excellent. Service was excellent and atmosphere was great. We will definitely go back when we are in town.
